I’ve been keen to to document a La Porte Space wedding for a while now so when Cat & Mike got in touch I was over the moon, especially as they were having their reception at my other favourite venue Three Blue Ducks.
Both are within a stones throw of each other so they make a great combo if you love modern minimalist venues, want to give yourself a bit more time between ceremony and reception but don’t want to travel far. Their day was one filled with emotion taking place on the Friday before the most stringent COVID-19 restrictions started coming in to effect. It had clearly been a week filled with a lot of conflicting feeling as guests were forced in to dropping out & the world was wrapped up in the constantly evolving situation. Not the ideal situation for the build up to one of the happiest days of your life.
Once the ceremony started and they saw each other, all nerves disappeared and from that point on they couldn’t wipe the smiles off their faces. Post ceremony we took a few portraits at La Porte Space then went for a relaxed walk around Rosebery before joining guests for cocktail hour & the rest of the party.
